About The Eventing Physiologist:
Natasha Campbell (née Gunston) — but most people just call me Tash. I’ve been in the allied health world for over 10 years. I graduated from university in 2014 with a Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology, starting my career concentrating on specific exercise prescription for chronic disease management and musculoskeletal injury rehabilitation, working through correct and safe exercise prescription to improve the health and wellbeing of my clients.
In 2020 , I took the leap to start my own business, working mainly with equestrians on sport-specific strength & conditioning, injury rehab and rider biomechanics.
A quick look at my Qualifications:
-Accredited Exercise Physiologist
-Accredited Exercise Scientist
-Remedial Massage Therapist
-Ongoing study in Rider Biomechanics, Pilates & Strength & Conditioning
- ~25 years’ riding experience, including competing at international-level eventing and medium level dressage, continuing to learn and love the journey with horses
Over the years I’ve worked with people managing injuries, chronic conditions and disability — helping them improve their health, function and wellbeing through personalised exercise programs. Now I get to combine my love of movement and biomechanics with my passion for horses to help riders improve performance, communication and connection with their horses.
Whilst my business name is only a play on words from being an Exercise Physiologist, who Events. I actually work with riders from every discipline, all ages and levels — from recreational to elite — and love collaborating with coaches, instructors, allied health professionals, equine bodyworkers, saddle fitters and anyone else on your team to get the best results.
I am a firm believer that educating people about their health, and management of it through safe exercise and lifestyle changes, will give you the best pathway to improved quality of life. I thoroughly enjoy working with people to help them achieve their goals, for both long term and short term improvements.
